J. Wendell Addington
Services for J. Wendell Addington, 75, rural Dunkirk, are Friday at M.J.S. Mortuaries-D.W. Jones Chapel, Dunkirk. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, south of Redkey.
Addington died Tuesday at Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie.
Born in Dunkirk to Orville and Grace (Miller) Addington on July 30, 1928, he was a Dunkirk High School graduate with the class of 1946. He married Betty Jane Chalk who survives.
A farmer, he also was a school bus driver for the Jay School Corporation and the Jay County Marching Patriot Band.
Other survivors include two sons, Jay R. and Brian L. Addington, both of Dunkirk; two daughters, Mrs. Robin (Jone) Snider, Granbury, Texas, and Mrs. Lloyd (Nancy J.) Bach, Dunkirk; a sister, Wilma Jean Addington, Muncie; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation is Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary.
