Virginia Lagle

Virginia E. Lagle, 89, Versailles, died Sunday at Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville.
Born in Geneva to Adam and Ethel (Harbour) Egly, she was a 1937 graduate of Geneva High School and a graduate of International Business College in Fort Wayne. She also attended Franklin College.
She was preceded in death on Dec. 25, 1987, by her husband the Rev. Donald Lagle, whom she married on Jan. 31, 1943.
She was a secretary at East Tennessee State University and worked with her husband in churches he pastored in Indiana, Florida and Tennessee.
A member of Phi Beta Phi Sorority, she was also a Red Cross volunteer.
Survivors include a son, Thomas H. Lagle, Johnson City, Tenn.; two daughters, Mrs. William (Rebecca) Carr, Bellefontaine, Ohio, and Mrs. Jim (Sally) Morris, Versailles; and four grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at a later date at Green Lawn Cemetery in Franklin.
Memorials may be sent to Hopewell Presbyterian Church in Dillsboro, a Presbyterian church of the donor's choice, or Ripley County Community Foundation in care of Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles.[[In-content Ad]]
