Mr. and Mrs. Leoris J. Williamson, 226 E. Arch St., Portland, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house on Sunday, June 29, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, Portland. Friends and family are invited to celebrate with them, but the couple requests that gifts be omitted.
Leoris married Betty Jean White on June 28, 1953, in the First Evangelical United Brethren Church — now Trinity United Methodist Church — Portland.
They are the parents of Kevin (wife Marilyn) Williamson, Shelbyville; Mark Williamson, Plano, Texas; Brian (wife Deb) Williamson, Portland; and Tracy (wife Terri) Williamson, Lucerne. They also have four granddaughters.
The couple is semi-retired from their construction business. They are both active in their church and volunteer at the Optimist stand at the Jay County Fairgrounds and The Museum of the Soldier.[[In-content Ad]]
