Winterfest starts Thursday
In review
The annual WinterFest celebration will be held Thursday through Sunday.
Thursday is Christmas at the courthouse, with a live Nativity starting at 6:30 p.m. at the old fire station west of the courthouse, followed by the community sing and lighting of the Christmas tree. Friday is the Arts Place auction. Doors open at 5 p.m.
Saturday is the biggest day of events, with a children's breakfast and carnival beginning at 8 a.m. at East Jay Middle School, the Little Miss WinterFest contest in the courthouse auditorium at 2:30 p.m. and carriage rides. The Parade of Lights begins at 6 p.m. and kids can visit Santa in the courthouse afterwards.
Sunday is the holiday home tours from noon to 5 p.m.
