WJMS honor roll announced
Taking Note
West Jay Middle School recently named its honor roll students for the second nine-week grading period.
Making the all A honor roll in sixth grade were Alli Campbell, Jacob Geesaman and Maddison Louck.
Making the A-B honor roll in sixth grade were Samantha Back, Spencer Calvert, Hannah Chapman, Courtney Cox, John Crosbie, Dakota Grove, Jocelyn Huey, Megan Johnson, Allison Louck, Kyndal Miller, Tristan Miller, Victoria Outcalt, Lillian Rogers, Luke Swartz, Antonio Vazquez and Jared Wright.
Making the all A honor roll in seventh grade were Julia Garringer, Emily Jobe, Elara Moore-Snyder and Courtney Rickmeyer.
Making the A-B honor roll in seventh grade were Devyn Alexander, Alec Burcham, Mason Cochran, Lance Ferguson, Kenneth Harp, Drew Huffman, Alan Ingle, Braden Jones, Jesse Moles, Jake Moore, Joshua Vaughn, Emilie Walter and Jillian Young.
Making the all A honor roll in eighth grade were Morgan Brown, Taylor Campbell, Alexis Murrell and Kristen Simons.

Reading program
Registration for the children’s reading program “Carry Out a Good Book” will begin Monday at Jay County Public Library.
The program is for infants through eighth grade students and will feature pizza-themed activities and prizes.
At least 20 picture books or five chapter books need to be read by Feb. 21.
Also a “Take Out” menu of activities for children can be done at home and five activities must be completed.
On Monday, children may register for the program and make pizza crafts from 2 to 4 p.m.
On Tuesday, Jan. 25, pizza science will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. for preschool and grade school children.
On Tuesday, Feb. 8, pizza games will be played from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
On Monday, Feb. 21, will be “Make Your Own Pizza” from 2 to 4 p.m.
