WJMS names students of the month (04/05/06)

West Jay Middle School has announced its Students of the Month for March.
In sixth grade was Taylor Caldwell, daughter of Rex Caldwell and Shelley Caldwell.
For seventh grade was Tyler Claycomb, son of Matthew and Tonya Claycomb.
The eighth grade winner was Josh Roush, son of Sean and Stacey Rousch.
Cell phone donation
AmericanCellPhoneDrive.org is seeking donations of used cell phones to support a number of charitable causes. Some phones are reprogrammed to provide free 911 service to victims of domestic violence, senior citizens and people in underprivileged areas with no telephone lines.
Many outdated cell phones contain toxic substances which can be harmful to humans and the environment if disposed of improperly.
While there are no donation sites in Jay County, a free shipping label can be printed at www.americancellphonedrive.org.
Alumni banquet
Ridgeville High School 102nd Alumni Banquet will be Saturday, May 13, at the Deerfield Elementary School. Send reservations to Marilyn Norton, 307 E. First Street, Ridgeville, IN 47380 or call (765) 857-2619. Reservations are due by May 6.
Host families sought
Quest International, a non-profit organization, is seeking volunteers to host English-speaking foreign exchange students from France, Sweden, Thailand, Denmark, Germany, Mexico, Estonia, the Czech Republic, Brazil, China, Ecuador, Slovakia, Russia and South Korea.
Students are between the ages of 15 and 18 and will come for a five-month semester or 10-month school year. All students will have health insurance and spending money.
