WJMS top students honored (12/07/06)

Students of the month for November were recently named at West Jay Middle School.

In sixth grade was Tyler Back, son of Bill and Michelle Back.

In seventh grade was Aaron Helm, son of Doug and LuAnn Helm.

In eighth grade was Eric Evans, son of Renee and Daniel Weaver.

Likeskill winners

Bloomfield Elementary recently named its Lifeskill Winners for November, winning for the lifeskill 'organization.'

Students named were Rachel Braun, Elianna Duran, Andrew Ferguson, Kendra Fortkamp, Lauren Giles, Annie J. Graber, Miller Graber, Jacob Hilty, Amber Huelskamp, Brett Laux, Mariah Lawrence, Emily Reier, Isaac Robbins, Sydney Robbins, Stephanie Rodriguez, Neoma Schwartz and Kayla Walker.

Crafts at library

Jay County Public Library will have a Holiday Craft Open House on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Community Room.

Children age preschool and older may stop in any time between those hours to make a craft or decorate sugar cookies and drink a cup of hot chocolate. Step by step instructions will be available for the crafts.

Crafts will also be available for adults.
