Zehringer is Citizen of the Year (03/14/08)
Taking Note
Sharon Zehringer was named the 2007 Citizen of the Year in Fort Recovery.
Zehringer was chosen because of her work with the Fort Recovery Historical Society and Project Recovery; she has been in charge of the Fort Recovery Auction for the last five years, which has raised more than $100,000. Also, she and her husband (State Rep. Jim Zehringer) have organized the Fort Recovery 5K race held in conjunction with the Mercer Health Challenge with proceeds going to the Fort Recovery State Museum and the Fort Recovery High School track team.
She also helped organize the Friends of the Library organization and writes and distributes its monthly newsletter and organized the annual talent night as part of Friends of the Arts.
Her memberships include charter member of Psi Iota Sorority and St. Paul Catholic Church, Sharpsburg.
Minnetrista fun day
Minnetrista Cultural Center of Muncie will present the PBS documentary "Andrew Jackson: Good, Evil and the Presidency" on Wednesday, March 19, from 2 to 4 p.m.
A discussion will be held after the film. Registration is requested.

Grossology Fun Day will be Saturday, March 29, from 1 to 4 p.m.
Grossology: The (Impolite) Science of the Human Body will explore the fascinating functions, gross goings-on and disgusting details of the human body. There will be crafts, trivia and the Grossology exhibit. The exhibit will be on display through April 27.
