Pigeon program set for Sunday

Limberlost State Historic Site is hosting a “Free Passenger Pigeon program” at 2 to 3 p.m. on Sunday at the Limberlost State Historic Site Visitor Center, 200 E. 6th St., Geneva.
Joel Greenberg, author and naturalist, will speak about passenger pigeons and what led to their extinction.
The first 30 people to attend the event will receive a free copy of the September/October issue of “Bird Watcher’s Digest” magazine.
The program is free, but donations are welcomed. Light refreshments will be served.

Group to meet
Mercer Health’s Diabetes Support Group will meet at 2 p.m. Monday.
Karen Homan, Mercer Health’s certified diabetes educator will discuss strategies for managing diabetes during holiday parties. The group will meet at Mercer County Community Hospital’s meeting room two in Coldwater, Ohio.

Auction scheduled
Arts Place Portland Center will have its 32nd annual Holiday Benefit Auction on Nov. 21 at 131 E. Walnut St.
Doors will open at 5 p.m., and the auction will begin at 6 p.m.
Admission is free and refreshments will be served throughout the night.
Proceeds from the auctions will support programs and services of Art Place, Inc.
Individuals and business donate all the items including: vacation getaways, gift items, collectables, museum passes and more.
