Couple celebrates 50 years
John C. Jr. and Patty Ann Bye, 3461 E. 400 North, Portland, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today.
John married Patty Ann Kelly on Oct. 3, 1964, at Westchester EUB Church with the Rev. John Modesitt officiating.
Patty is a retired artist and John retired in 2009 from GE?Motors Decatur, GE Aircraft Controls, Lockheed Martin and BAE Systems in Fort Wayne after 44 years of service.
They are the parents of Dr. Cheryl Ann Bye, Ph.D. (husband: Keith Walley), Indianapolis, and David Alan Bye, Portland.
The couple will celebrate with a trip to Orlando, Fla.
