Intern joins staff

Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home is adding to its staff.
Nick Leonhard, a 2012 Jay County High School graduate, is joining the staff of the funeral home, 208 N. Commerce St., Portland, as an intern. He graduated from Mid-America College of Funeral Services in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
Ready to plan
Greg Rittenhouse, Portland, has joined Cruise Planners, an American Express Travel Service Representative agency.
Rittenhouse will offer travelers options for cruises and other vacations, as well as wedding packages. He recently retired as a United Methodist pastor, having served previously at Asbury United Methodist Church in Portland.
Lease renewed
Indiana Michigan Power will continue to call Fort Wayne home.
The electrical service company, which provides electricity in Jay County, renewed its lease of Indiana Michigan Power Center in downtown Fort Wayne. The new agreement lasts through 2031.
Indiana Michigan will also keep ownership of the plaza in front of the building, which plays host to a variety of community events.
The company provides electricity to more than 500,000 customers and has about 2,500 employees.
Process open
The application process for the CenturyLink Clarke M. Williams Foundation’s Teachers and Technology program is open.
The program will award more than $1.4 million in grants supporting technology in the classroom.
Teachers can apply at http://www.fsrequest.com/centrylinkgrant, and the deadline is Jan. 2. Grant winners will be announced between April 1 and May 15.
