YORKTOWN — For the eighth time in the last decade, Jay County will play for the sectional championship.
Jalen Ryder notched his first multi-goal game of his senior season, and the Patriots tacked on two more in a 4-0 shutout of the Delta Eagles in the Class 2A Sectional 15 semifinal game tonight at Yorktown Sports Park.
Alex Abbott scored just 1:58 into the contest, and Ryder tallied his first goal less than two minutes later as the Patriots scored all four goals in the first half.
Zaaron Lee also found twine for the Jay County, which advances to the sectional championship at 2 p.m. Saturday in Yorktown.
