Breaking: Jay takes title
YORKTOWN — Gabbie Mann caught the Yorktown defense out of position in the final minute tonight, burying a shot in the right side of the net with 46 seconds left to lift the Jay County High School girls soccer team to its second straight conference title.
The Tigers dominated possession in the first 10 minutes, but the Patriots, who also beat Yorktown 1-0 in the sectional championship game last season, gradually turned the tide.
JCHS advances to play Wednesday in the regional at Logansport.
