Couple celebrates 63rd
Gene and Sarah McCombs, 147 Arlington Ave., Dunkirk, celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on Monday.
Gene married Sarah Arbuckle on Oct. 13, 1951, at the home of the groom’s parents.
Sarah retired from Armstrong Cork in Dunkirk after 35 years of service, and Gene retired from the Jay School Corporation after 30 years.
The couple are the parents of Nona Bonifas (husband: Greg), Sarah Daniels, Scott McCombs (wife: Tina), Robin Jeffers (husband: Chris), and Shannon McCombs (Karen Bost), all of Dunkirk. They have 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
They are planning a private family celebration.
