Battery sentence
An Albany man was sentenced recently in Jay Circuit Court.
Caleb Jones, 23, pleaded guilty to battery resulting in serious bodily injury, a Class C felony, and was sentenced Oct. 10 to four years in Indiana Department of Correction, with two years and six months suspended.
As part of a plea agreement, a count of resisting law enforcement was dismissed. He was given credit from his date of arrest on June 26. He was assessed court costs of $168 and placed on formal probation for two years and six months.
