Ken and Elaine Romer, Fort Recovery, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a Mass at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Fort Recovery. A reception, for invited guests, will follow in the church undercroft and there will be an open house from 1 to 3 p.m.
Ken married Elaine Wolf on Sept. 5, 1964, at St. Augustine Church in Minster, Ohio, with the Rev. John Spatt officiating.
Elaine worked at New Idea, Fort Recovery High School and Kaup Pharmacy and Ken retired from Teledyne Portland Forge and Kaup Pharmacy.
The couple have three children, Kathy Simonson (husband: Scott), Baltimore, Ohio, Karla Richards, Hilliard, Ohio, and Ted Romer (wife: Lisa), Fort Recovery. They also have seven grandchildren.
