65th anniversary
Eldon and Rowena Miller, 620 N. Pierce St., Portland, are celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary today.
Eldon married Rowena Fortney on Sept. 10, 1949, in Indianpolis.
Rowena is a retired hairdresser and Eldon is a retired barber.
They are the parents of three children, Larry Miller (wife: Cindy), Anderson, Ron Miller (wife: Lucretia), Portland, and Tab Miller, Portland. They also have eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family celebrated with a trip to their son’s cabin in Deadwood, S.D.
