Felony arrests
Dealing Meth
A Pennville woman was arrested Wednesday on a bench warrant for dealing methamphetamine.
Kala Lex, 395 E. Maple St., is preliminarily charged with dealing methamphetamine, a Level 4 felony.
She was arrested and booked at 3:11 p.m. into Jay County Jail, and she was released the same day on a $15,000 bond.
Possession
A Portland man was arrested early this morning for possession of cocaine and driving with a suspended license.
Nicholas Maxwell, 722 South Vine, is preliminarily charged with possession of narcotics, a Level 6 felony, and driving while suspended with priors, a Class A misdemeanor.
He was arrested and booked at 12:19 a.m. into Jay County Jail, where he remains on a $4,500 bond.
Habitual offender
A Dunkirk man was arrested on Monday for driving without a license and again on Tuesday, receiving a charge as a habitual traffic violator.
Michael Sargent, 6121 E. 500 South, was arrested and booked into Jay County Jail Monday at 7:50 p.m., and preliminarily charged with driving without a license as a habitual offender, a Level 6 felony. He was released on a $6,000 bond the same day.
On Tuesday he was arrested and booked into Jay County Jail again at 7:40 p.m. for driving without a license. He was preliminarily charged as a habitual traffic violator, a Level 6 felony, carrying an automatic 10-year license suspension.
Sargent is being held at Jay County Jail without bond.
