Capsule Reports
Left of center
Two motorists driving in opposite directions on county road 200 South clipped each other’s mirrors about 6:35 p.m. Monday.
Klarer Bradley, 39, 2409 S. 50 East, rural Portland, according to a Jay County Sheriff’s Office report, was eastbound in his 2006 Chevrolet Silverado and moved to the right of the road as a vehicle from the west approached near county road 300 East. The other was a 2012 Ford Super Duty driven by Scott Young, 31, 601 E. Canal Lot 28, Ansonia, Ohio, and registered to Farms Inc. Young told officers he moved to the side of the road as well.
As the driver’s passed each other their mirrors hit. Bradley told officers Young continued without stopping, and he could not relocate him. Young told officers he stopped, could not see Bradley’s vehicle approaching and couldn’t see any damage, so he continued on.
Bradley reported the accident on Monday, and Young completed a report today. Damage was estimated to be less than $1,000.
