Challenge continues April 25
The Adams County Run/Walk Challenge continues April 25.
The series features 11 races within Adams County.
The next race is the seventh annual Run Over Violence 5K run/walk. The race will begin at 9 a.m. April 25 at the Adams Memorial Hospital in Decatur.

Chamber to hold golf outing
The Jay County Chamber of Commerce will hold the Chamber Classic Golf Outing May 1 at Portland Golf Club.
Cost for the four-person tournament is $250 per team, which also includes lunch. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
Registration for the tournament will begin at 10:30 a.m., with a shotgun start at 11:30 a.m.

Starfires seeking coach
South Adams High School is seeking a wrestling coach for the 2015-16 season.
Candidates should have varsity coaching experience, a strong knowledge of wrestling techniques and fundamentals. Candidates must also demonstrate the ability to work with the administration and successfully lead student athletes, the coaching staff and the middle school and youth programs.

Tournaments set for June
The Ohio Fury Softball program will host its annually Star Spangle Shootout baseball and softball tournaments in June.
The tournaments, which are open to teams ranging in ages 10-and-younger to 18-and-younger, will be June 26 through 28 at KC Geiger Park in St. Marys, Ohio.

Community swim open
The community swim schedule for the 2014-15 school season is underway.
Each swim will be Sundays from 2 to 4 p.m. at Jay County High School and is open to the public.
Cost is $2 per swimmer, and children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
