Deer in road
A Portland man struck a deer with his vehicle Sunday evening while traveling on Boundary Pike near county road 300 South.
Monte Detro, 47, 534 Floral Ave., was southbound on Boundary Pike when a deer ran onto the road about 11 p.m. Detro was unable to avoid the animal, and struck it with his 2001 Chevrolet 3500.
Damage in the accident was estimated to be less than $1,000.
