Dunkirk fire
Dunkirk Fire Department responded to a fire Tuesday at Marvin Nunemaker Jr.’s home, 1250 S. Main St.
No one was inside the home when the fire was reported at 12:09 p.m. Dunkirk firefighters arrived at the scene three minutes later.
Five Redkey firefighters assisted Dunkirk’s thirteen firefighters. Dunkirk brought two pumpers and a rescue truck.
They returned to the station at 3:45 p.m.
The cause of the fire is being investigated today.
In area courts
Matthew R. Evers, 20, 201 1/2 N. Wayne St., Fort Recovery, pleaded no contest in Celina (Ohio) Municipal Court to domestic violence. He was sentenced to 10 days in jail, suspended if he has no like violations in two years, completes a parenting class, has an evaluation for stress/anger management and follows its recommendations and pays court costs.
Austin L. Brinkerhoff pleaded no contest in Celina Municipal Court to failure to stop after an accident. He was fined $100 and will pay court costs.
