John and Georganna Ferguson celebrate 50 years
John and Georganna Ferguson, Portland, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today.
John married Georganna Pogue on Aug. 6, 1965, at Asbury United Methodist Church in Portland with the Rev. Hazen Sparks receiving the couple’s vows.
They are both retired from the Jay School Corporation, each working more than 30 years at Jay County High School.
The couple are the parents of four sons, John Ferguson, David Ferguson (wife: Brenda), Ted Ferguson (wife: Lori), all of Portland, and Tom Ferguson, Redkey. They also have 10 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
They are celebrating with a trip to Washington D.C. and the Blue Ridge Parkway.
