Sitter class to be held
Taking Note
Adams Memorial Hospital in Decatur will offer a Safe Sitter class for teens this month.
The class will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 28, and will be taught by Rachel Krueckeburg, RN.

Pig kisser
Students at Judge Haynes Elementary recently collected 1,188 food items for area food banks.
As promised, Principal Tomano kissed a pig since the students collected more that 1,000 items.
“Meat” the need
The Ball Brothers Foundation recently awarded $2,500 to “Hoosiers Feeding the Hungry” for its “Meat” the Need program.
The money will be used to process large game and livestock that is donated by farmers in Jay and surrounding counties and distribute it to the needy through Second Harvest Food Bank.
Processing will be done at several places, including Adair Processing, Fisher Packing Company and The Buckstop.

Cabin Christmas
Christmas at the Cabin tours continue through Dec. 31 at Limberlost State Historic Site in Geneva.
The site is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

Registration for the MusicWorks program at Arts Place in Portland and Blackford County continues with classes to begin Jan. 4 and continue through May.
Instruments available are baritone, cello, clarinet, electric guitar, flute, French horn, guitar, harp, mandolin, piano, recorder, saxophone, trombone, trumpet, tuba, viola, violin, and voice.
