Deer accident
A Bryant teen struck a deer with the car she was driving Thursday on Mount Pleasant Road in Jefferson Township.
Nina G. McShane, 15, 274 E. 650 North, was heading south west on Mount Pleasant Road near county road 550 South when a deer entered the roadway.
She said she could not avoid hitting the deer with the 2005 Toyota Scion she was driving. The teen was driving on a learner’s permit with her father in car.
The Scion is registered to Mary B. McShane, 2117 South Blaine Pike, Portland.
Damage in the 5:40 p.m. crash is estimated between $1,000 and $2,500.
