Durhams celebrate 60 years
Anniversaries
Rogers and Janice Durham, Portland, are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary today.
Rogers and Janice (Durick) were married on Dec. 28, 1955, at First Christian Church in Council Bluffs, Iowa, by Rogers’ father Philip Durham, minister of the church.
Janice retired from AEP/Indiana Michigan Power in 1995 and from Manpower, Inc. in 2000. She works part-time for the City of Portland Water Office, Jay County Development Corporation and Jay County Recorder’s Office.
Rogers retired from Ebsco Industries in 2000 and is also a retired minister. He works part-time as a chaplain for State of the Heart Hospice.
They are the parents of Rogers “Rog” Durham Jr., Portland, Stephen Durham (wife: Amy), Summerville, South Carolina, and Sarah Egly (husband: Glen), Muncie. They also have four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The couple will celebrate with a Panama Canal cruise.
