Yanos student teaches at Jay County
Taking Note
The Purdue University Agricultural Education Program has placed student teacher Bridgette Yanos with Brittany Bridges, agricultural science and business instructor at Jay County High School.
Yanos is teaching Introduction to Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources, Animal Science, Horticulture, and Agricultural Power Systems classes through April.
She is being supervised on site by B. Allen Talbert from Purdue University.
Valentine’s events
Two events are planned for Valentine’s Day at the Limberlost State Historic Site Visitor Center in Geneva.
Limberlost naturalist Curt Burnette, “Professor Passion,” will present the program “Particularly Peculiar Procreation Practices of the Animal Kingdom” at 6:30 p.m., followed by the movie “A Girl of the Limberlost.”
The movie was made in 1934 and is an adaption of Gene Stratton-Porter’s classic novel of the same name. The movie stars Marian Marsh and Eddie Nugent.
The cost is $5 per person and refreshments will be served. To make reservations, call Burnette at (260) 368-7428 or email [email protected].
