Jay club to host Mardi Gras café
Taking Note
The Jay County High School French Club will offer French food at its annual Mardi Gras Café on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. in the south hallway of JCHS. A variety of French cuisine will be available as well as free activities for children.
Club to meet
The newly-formed Jay County FFA Alumni group will welcome all those interested in joining to an open house at 7 p.m. on Monday in the agricultural department of Jay County High School.
The alumni organization is open to high school graduates interested in serving youth and agriculture.
Receive degrees
Five area residents were among those receiving degrees from Purdue University following the fall semester.
Brittany A. Crawmer, Pennville, received her bachelor of arts degree from the College of Liberal Arts.
Hillary D. Hersberger and Colton R. Prescott, both of Portland, received their bachelor of science degrees from the College of Architecture.
Elizabeth B. Walker, Portland, received her bachelor of arts degree from the College of Education.
Kelsey R. Woods, Portland, received a bachelor of science degree from IPFW in Fort Wayne in health and human services.
On dean’s list
Tess Bruggeman, Fort Recovery, a design engineering technology major at Trine University, Angola, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester.
