Fort Recovery routs Parkway

FORT RECOVERY — The Indians scored the first 15 points of the game Thursday against Parkway.
Their lead got down to single digits only one more time.
Behind a double-double by Tori Lennartz, the Fort Recovery girls basketball team steamrolled the visiting Panthers, 56-33.
Lennartz led all players with 16 points and added 10 assists for the Indians (7-3), who have yet to lose on their home floor. Lennartz was 6-of-9 from the field, including 4-of-5 from 3-point land in the win.
Jocelyn Kaiser and Cassidy Rammel tallied eight points, with Kendra Siefring totaling seven and a game-high eight rebounds. Kara Jutte and Whitney Will both chipped in with six points.
Kayle Heckler led the Panthers with 10 points.
The Indians’ junior varsity team also won 33-16. Kiah Wendel and Devin Post led the Tribe offense with nine and eight points respectively. Sydney Dues grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds.
Fort 7th wins
FORT RECOVERY — Chloe Showalter hit a game-winning 3-pointer in overtime to help the Fort Recovery seventh grade girls basketball team to a 19-18 victory against the Marion Local Flyers.
The eighth grade Indians lost, 23-20.
Olivia Patch had seven points to lead the FRMS seventh graders. Val Muhlenkamp added four points, and Showalter netted her only points of the contest when her team needed them most.
Aleigha Jenkins paced the Tribe eighth graders with seven points, and Madison Rammel added five points. Audrey Guggenbiller had four.
Indians split
ROCKFORD, Ohio — Payton Jutte and Jared Timmerman both scored in double figures for their respective squads as the Fort Recovery seventh and eighth grade boys basketball teams split with Parkway on Thursday.
Jutte and the eighth graders won, 33-28, while Timmerman and the Tribe seventh graders lost 44-32.
Timmerman tallied 10 points, and teammate Riley Post added seven.
Jutte poured in 14 points for the eighth grade Indians. Mason Will followed with seven points.
