The Jay County High School boys and girls swim teams both defeated the visiting Celina Bulldogs on Thursday.
The Patriot girls won all 11 swimming events in their 173-138 victory, and the boys squad won 170-131.
Katy Smeltzer, Alex Bader, Anne Vormohr and Sophie Bader each won two events for the Jay County girls, who improve to 12-1 on the season.
Smeltzer won both the 200-yard freestyle and the 100 butterfly, Alex Bader took first in the 50 freestyle and 100 breaststroke, Vormohr earned victories in the 200 individual medley and the 100 freestyle, and Sophie Bader won the 100 backstroke and the 500 freestyle.
The Patriots also won all three relays. Jamie Valentine swam in the 200 medley relay, Ashley Mark was in the 200 and 400 freestyle relay and Laurann Schoenlein was part of the 200 freestyle relay.
James Keen was the lone dual winner for the Jay County boys (8-4), winning both the 200 IM and the 100 backstroke. Christian Phillips posted a new career-high 193.4 to win diving.
Keen joined Ian Bentz, Sok Vormohr and Conner Daniels to win the 200 medley relay.

Tribe falls to Tigers
FORT RECOVERY — Poor shooting and 12 turnovers in the first half by the Fort Recovery girls basketball team led to a 45-34 loss to the Versailles Tigers on Thursday.
Fort Recovery (9-4) was just 3-of-15 from the field in the first 16 minutes, as the Division III No. 8 Tigers got out to a 23-12 lead at halftime. The Indians, who lost for the first time this season at Fort Site Fieldhouse, couldn’t overcome the deficit in the second half as it fell to 2-3 in the Midwest Athletic Conference.
FRHS junior Kendra Siefring led all players with 13 points, including going 7-for-10 from the free-throw line. Jocelyn Kaiser added eight points, and Tori Lennartz followed with five.
Kami McEldowney led Versailles (12-3, 5-1 MAC) with 11 points.
The Tribe’s JV team also lost to the Tigers by a score of 34-26.
Grace Gehle, Sydney Dues and Devin Post all scored five points for the Indians.

SA swimmers win
HARTFORD CITY — South Adams’ boys and girls swim teams won 11 of the 12 events Thursday in lopsided victories over host Blackford.
The Starfire girls won 124-51 and the boys defeated the Bruins 112-41.
Daniel Burson, Drew LeFever and David Steffen won two events apiece for the SAHS boys. Burson finished first in the 200- and 500-yard freestyle races, LeFever won the 200 individual medley and 100 butterfly, and Steffen earned the top spot in the 50 and 100 freestyle.
Zach Teeple won the 100 backstroke, and Xavier Rupp went uncontested in diving.
Olivia Von Gunten (200 IM and 500 freestyle) and Ashton Klopp (50 freestyle and 100 butterfly) were dual event winners for the Starfire girls. Olivia Mason (100 freestyle) and Audrey Burson (100 backstroke) both won individual races. Korinna Schindler went unchallenged in diving.
Both boys and girls teams also won all three relays.
