Battery
A Portland man was arrested and preliminarily charged Wednesday with battery, a Level 5 felony, aggravated battery, a Level 6 felony, and criminal confinement, a Level 6 felony.
Portland Police Department responded to a call saying that a man was hurting a 15-year-old at 526 W. Walnut St.
When officers arrived at the residence, John Boswell, 20, was said to have allegedly punched his 15-year-old sister and wouldn’t allow her to leave.
He was arrested and booked at 10:25 p.m. into Jay County Jail, where he remains on a $15,000 bond.
