Capsule Reports

One injured
A Dunkirk woman was injured in an accident in Knox Township Tuesday evening.
Angie Fields, 42, 1259 S. Main St., was treated at the scene for chest pain.
Fields was traveling west on county road 300 North in a 1992 Honda owned by Robert Brown, 320 E. Ohio St., Dunkirk. She told police that as she approached the intersection at 1000 West, she didn’t see the curve and her vehicle went off of the road, hitting a tree.
Damage in the 10:20 p.m. accident was estimated to be between $5,000 to $10,000.

Deer struck
A rural Pennville woman struck a deer with her SUV in Jackson Township Monday evening.
Marcia Highley, 57, 8865 W. 550 North, was traveling east on county road 300 North near county road 550 West when a deer ran into the road. She was unable to stop in time, striking the deer with her 2008 GMC Envoy.
Total damage in the 10:42 p.m. accident was estimated to be between $1,000 and $2,500.

Tire slashed
Jenna Wilson, 690 Katelynn Drive, Portland, reported a tire on her vehicle had been slashed. She told police at noon Tuesday the incident happened sometime overnight.

Plates missing
Jessica Landers, 701 S. Western Ave., Portland, told police at 6:31 p.m. Tuesday the license plates were missing from her vehicle. She said it happened sometime between late Saturday night and 6 p.m. Tuesday.
