Building collision
A Geneva woman hit a building with her car Thursday afternoon.
Sharon A. Ninde, 61, 11292 S. 500 West, told Jay County Sheriff’s Office she put her car in reverse to back out of a spot at Pak-A-Sak, 893 E. Indiana 18, Bryant, but the 2012 Toyota Camry went forward and hit the building instead.
Damage in the 5:45 p.m. accident was estimated between $2,501 and $5,000.
Missing money
Ryan P. Schneider, 951 W. Water St., Portland, told Portland police he got home and discovered money was missing from his residence. He reported the theft at 6:33 a.m. today.
Report damage
Indiana residents, businesses and non-profit organizations can report flood damage caused on or after June 7.
This information will help local emergency management agencies and the Indiana Department of Homeland Security determine whether federal financial assistance may be available.
Those reporting damage will have to provide their name, address, phone number and a description of the damage.
Damage can be property damage or loss of personal property.
The form for reporting damage is available at http://www.in.gov/dhs.
