Intersection accident
Two drivers were involved in an accident Wednesday at the intersection of Meridian      and Main streets in Portland.
Jason D. Stutzman, 40, 765 W. Main St., Berne, was driving south on Meridian Street and stopped for a red light at the Main Street intersection.
Coy A. Wickey, 16, 5165 Janndey St., Linn Grove, was driving behind Stutzman. He told Portland police he was tired and ran into the back of Stutzman’s vehicle.
Both vehicles are registered to New Look Exteriors, 9116 S. Indiana 116, Geneva.
Damage in the 7:37 a.m. accident was estimated between $1,000 and $2,500.

In area courts
Dillion M. Jutte, 20, Portland, pleaded no contest in Celina (Ohio) Municipal Court to failure to maintain physical control of a vehicle under the influence. The charge was amended from operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
Jutte was sentenced to 21 days in jail, suspended unless he has a similar or other alcohol-related violation in the next two years. He was fined $1,000 and must pay court costs. In another case, he pleaded no contest to underage possession and consumption, for which he will pay a $500 fine and court costs.
