Teddy bear sleepover to be at JCPL
Taking Note
Children can bring their favorite bear or stuffed animal to Jay County Public Library on Friday, before 6:30 p.m., for a teddy bear sleepover.
The animals stay overnight and their owners pick them up at 10 a.m. Saturday to see what they’ve been up to.
Photos will be available to show how the animals spent their evening with fellow stuffed toy and author Max Bear.
There will be refreshments and author Kris Ball will read “How to Survive a Stuffed Bear Attack: A Survival Guide for Young Humans.” Books will be available for signing.
The library is located at 315 N. Ship St. in Portland.
Serv-Safe class
A Serv-Safe class for area food establishments will be held July 30 and 31 in Decatur Room 1 at Adams Memorial Hospital in Decatur.
The class will be taught by Trisha Burgess and Joe Spaulding.
The cost is $150 or $60 to take the certification exam on day two without the class or textbook. Checks should be made payable to the Parkview Regional Medical Center and mailed to Adams County Health Department, 313 W. Jefferson St., Decatur, IN 46733
For more information or to register, call the Adams County Health Department at (260) 724-5326.
