Hornets soccer beats Wasps

PENNVILLE — Rockand Beiswanger and Samuel Wiggens both tallied hat tricks Saturday as the A.B.’s Tire Service Hornets toppled the Adair Processing Wasps 8-2 in Pennville Soccer League’s Stinger division.
Raif Beiswanger also tallied two goals for the Hornets.
Toby Wenger and Camden Vinson each scored for the Wasps.
In the Space division, the Patriot Sportswear Asteroids defeated Hanlin Real Estate Galaxy, 2-1. Jaylen McClain and Griffin Elliot both scored for the Asteroids, and Gabe Pinkerton tallied the only goal for the Galaxy.
The Galaxy then turned around and defeated Nate’s Kustom Painting & Auto Body Repair Comets, 5-2. Addison Gaskill and Pinkerton both scored twice for the Galaxy, with Jordan Russall notching the other goal. Jacob Wallace found the back of the net twice for the Comets.
In the Wildcat division, Adair Processing Jaguars tied the Hanlin Real Estate Tigers 3-3, then lost 7-3 to A.B.’s Tire Service Lions.
Brenden Runyon had two goals in each game, with Sheldon Minch tallying a score against the Tigers.

Isaac Dues hit a home run Saturday, helping Pak-A-Sak to a 10-1 victory against Williams Auto Parts in Portland Junior League’s Rookie baseball.
Mason Johnson and Carter Barton both had triples for Pak-A-Sak in the rain-shortened game. Austin Jellison added a pair of doubles and Layne Reidt added a double as well.
Ryan Timmerman led Pak-A-Sak with a pair of singles, with Dawson Goldsworthy, Cole Carpenter and Max Klopfenstein each adding singles.
MainSource outlasts
MainSource Bank outlasted Inman U-Lock 9-8 on Friday in PJL’s Willie Mays action.
Trenton Webster paced MainSource with a double and two RBIs. Isaac Braun tallied two singles and drove in a pair of runs, with Keagan Hartzell driving in one run on two hits. Hartzell also pitched, striking out five in three innings.
Dawson Hundley, Sam Myers and Ronnie Wagoner each had a double and an RBI for Inman. Myers struck out six batters in two innings.
