Dawsons celebrate 50 years
Emmett and Connie Dawson, 480 S. Union St., Pennville, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Hickory Grove Church of the Brethren, 985 S. Ind. 1, Dunkirk.
Emmett married Connie Bounds on June 18, 1965, at First Baptist Church in Bluffton.
Connie retired as an LPN?and grief counselor at Bluffton Regional Medical Center and Emmett retired from farming and as a driver for Blue Flame Gas in Portland and Helena Chemical in Pennville.
They are the parents of Katherine Shannon (husband: Chris), Bluffton. They also have three grandchildren.
The couple asks that gifts be omitted.
