Local notes
JCHS to host adult swim
There will be adult lap swim sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning June 2.
Cost is $2 per session or $25 for a season pass, and is open to adults 18-and-older.
The swim will be from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. at the Jay County High School pool.
The sessions will go through the July, and will be for lap swim only, not recreational use.
Challenge continues Saturday
The Adams County Run/Walk Challenge continues Saturday.
The next race is the Hope Run for Haiti 5K. The race will begin at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Amishville, 844 E 900 South, Geneva.

Night Glow 5K is Saturday
The next race in the Run Jay County 5K Circuit will be the Night Glow 5K on June 13.
Registration begins at 8:30 p.m. at the Votaw Street entrance of Jay County Fairgrounds. Cost is $30, or $35 with a tshirt.
The race will be electronically timed, and there will be a cash prize for the best glow-in-the-dark runner.

Patriots to hold soccer clinic
Jay County High School’s soccer teams will host a two-day clinic June 17 and 18.
The clinic includes skill development and instructional training led by the sectional champion JCHS soccer coaches and players.
Cost is $25, and it is open to boys and girls in grades three through eight.
The clinic will be from 10 a.m. to noon at the JCHS soccer field.
Starfires seeking coach
South Adams High School is seeking a wrestling coach for the 2015-16 season.
Candidates should have varsity coaching experience, a strong knowledge of wrestling techniques and fundamentals. Candidates must also demonstrate the ability to work with the administration and successfully lead student athletes, the coaching staff and the middle school and youth programs.
