Gray's 50th is Saturday
Taking Note
Governor I.P. Gray High School will hold its last 50th Alumni banquet on Saturday.
The banquet will be held in the Jay County High School commons with doors opening at 4:30 p.m. and the meal served at 6 p.m.
The Jay County Historical Museum, 903 E. Main St. in Portland, will also be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday with lots of Gray memorabilia on display.
Scholarship
Homeschooled student Noah Claycomb received a Letter of Commendation from the National Merit Scholarship Program.
As a result of the letter and his academic success, he was awarded a full tuition scholarship to Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.
Claycomb plans to major in exercise science in preparation for medical school.
He is the son of Matthew and Tonya Claycomb, rural Pennville.
Graduates
Lindsey Schroer, Fort Recovery, graduated with certification in computed tomography from Kettering (Ohio) College.
