Dues shines in shortened game

Isaac Dues paced the Pak-A-Sak offense to a 9-1 advantage against Williams Auto Parts on Monday.
Then Mother Nature stepped in, and halted the Portland Junior League Rookie baseball action.
Dues had a two-run home run and a single, and Mason Johnson added two doubles and a single.
Carter Barton contributed to the offensive effort with a pair of doubles, and Alex Miller and Layne Reidt each had two singles.
Joe Geesaman had a double and a single, and also drove in the lone run for Williams. Ryan Timmerman smacked a triple in the losing effort. Isaiah McAbee and J.J. Shelton both recorded singles.

Frontline wins
Frontline Construction earned a 7-4 victory over Fisher Meats on Friday in PJL’s Minor softball division.
Renna Schwieterman had a home run and a single for Frontline.
Olivia Bright added two singles and scored three times, and Tricia Ison tallied two hits and one run.
Kylie Klopfenstein had two hits for Fisher. Kearston Myers and Lauren Brewster both notched a single and scored a run.
