Blounts celebrate 50 years
Jim and Shirley Blount, 243 N. Charles St., Portland, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today.
Jim married Shirley Geesaman on June 20, 1965, at Zion Lutheran Church in Portland.
Shirley is retired from CTS in Berne and Jay County Hospital and Jim retired from El Paso Pipeline, Portland, and Fuqua Chrysler in Dunkirk.
They are the parents of Shannon Blount (wife: Heather), Fishers, and Ryan Blount (wife: Alisa), Portland. They also have four granddaughters.
The couple is planning a celebration with family and friends at a later date.
