Ran off road
Two women were injured in an accident about 4:00 p.m. Friday on county road 100 South.
Kimberly Collins, 25, 209 W. Washington St., Fort Recovery, Ohio, was westbound on county road 100 South when, according to a Jay County Sheriff’s Office report, the paved road transitioned into a gravel surface. When the 2001 Buick LLF, registered to Roger Hartzell, 3239 E. 100 North, Portland, Collins was driving hit the gravel near county road 400 East she lost control of the vehicle. The car then left the road to the south and proceeded to roll.
Collins and a passenger, Kionah Hartzell, 13, 1671 N. 600 East, Portland, were transported to Jay County Hospital for injuries.
Damage in the accident was estimated to be between $1,000 and $2,500.
