Saturday will be a busy day at Jay County Public Library.
A Do It Yourself Spa for Mother’s Day will begin at 10 a.m. Learn how to make homemade sugar scrubs and lip balm.
It is also the last day photos will be accepted for the Cutest Pet Photo Contest. There is a $2 entry fee. Voting for the cutest pet will held from May 11 to 16 and votes will cost 25 cents each. Proceeds will benefit the Jay County Humane Society.
A tech table will also be available from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday to offer help with electronic devices. One2One tutoring is also available by calling (260) 726-7890.
Story times in May will be at 11:30 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday May 13 and 20 and 5 p.m. today and May 14 and 21.
Mother Goose and Me will visit at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 15 and 22 and the Lego Club will meet between 2:30 and 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12, 19 and 26.
Family Fun will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 12 and 19 and Making It On My Own will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to drop by and make crafts on Saturday, May 23.
Kindergarten Prep School will begin June 2 from 9 a.m. to noon and continue each Tuesday through Aug. 4. Any child entering kindergarten in the fall is eligible to attend.
Forms are available at the library and the registration deadline is May 15. Transportation is available if needed.
Clubs meeting in May, will include the Cookbook Club at 6:15 p.m. Monday. The theme is Potluck and this will be the last meeting until September.
JayCPL Writers Guild will meet at 6:30 p.m. and JayCPL Book Club will discuss “Blink” by Malcolm Gladwell at 7 p.m., both on May 18; Hook & Needles Club will meet between 5:30 and 6 p.m. on May 26. Bring projects and supplies and share ideas.
