FORT RECOVERY — Justin Firks will be the new superintendent of Fort Recovery Local Schools.
The school board hired Firks, currently the principal and Fort Loramie High School, at a special meeting Monday. He will take over as superintendent July 13.

Firks will follow Shelly Vaughn, who is leaving the school district to become superintendent of Mercer County Educational Service Center. A 1997 graduate of Coldwater High School, he earned his bachelors degree from Wright State University and his superintendent’s license from the University of Dayton.
