BERNE — As part of its plan to reduce spending, South Adams School Board approved a retirement incentive package Tuesday.
South Adams, which plans to cut eight teaching positions for the 2015-16 school year, will offer a $15,000 incentive to teachers and counselors who are interested in retirement. To be eligible, the employees must be at least 55 years old and have a minimum of 12 years of experience with South Adams Schools. The deadline to take advantage of the incentive is June 1.
