East Jay Middle School named its cheerleading squad for the fall after recent tryouts were held.
In eighth grade will be Justice Day, Kionah Hartzell, Rosemary Hemmelgarn, Kenna Kahlig, Cheyenne Liette, Americus Mithaler and Kaitlyn Morningstar.
In seventh grade will be Leah Hummel, Maebry Ninde, Breanna Randall, Jaden Schlosser, Aubrie Schwieterman and Kelly Strausburg.
In sixth grade will be Shea Bailey, Grace Brewster, Sidney Campbell, Emily Dues, Mariana Lopez, Emma Swingley, Taylor Walker, Maddy Wenk and Shira Winn.
Dean’s list
Tiffany McEldowney, Fort Recovery, recently graduated from the University of Dayton.
Also actor Martin Sheen received an honorary doctor of humane letters degree at the ceremony.
