INDIANAPOLIS — The Patriots will open with the Archers.
In the sectional draw held this morning, Jay County High School’s softball team was paired with Fort Wayne South Side.
South Adams opens its sectional tournament against Woodlan.
In the Class 4A Sectional 6 tournament at Homestead, Jay County (12-9) meets the Archers at 4 p.m. May 25, with the winner advancing to the second semifinal against Huntington North at 7 p.m. May 26. The first semifinal pits the host Homestead Spartans against the Wayne Generals at 5 p.m. May 26.
The championship game is slated for 5 p.m. May 28.
South Adams (11-10) plays the second game of a quarterfinal tripleheader in the Class 2A Sectional 36 tournament at Bluffton.
Eastside and Lakewood Park Christian square off in the first game at noon May 25, with the winner advancing to play Churubusco in the semifinal at 5 p.m. May 26.
The South Adams-Woodlan winner will play in the semifinal at 7 p.m. May 26 against either Bluffton or Canterbury, which meet at 4 p.m. May 25.
The championship game will be at 5:30 p.m. May 28.

Three earn all-MAC
A trio of Fort Recovery High School softball players earned all-Midwest Athletic Conference honors on Wednesday.
Senior Haley Knapke, junior Chelsea Timmerman and sophomore Audra Metzger were all given honorable mention honors.
Fort Recovery, which opens sectional play at 5 p.m. tonight on the road against St. Henry, is 1-20 on the season.
The Tribe snapped a 31-game losing streak on May 2 with a 15-14 victory in the second game of a doubleheader against Coldwater.
