Felony arrests
No bond
A Dunkirk woman is being held without bond after she attempted to flee from police while she was being arrested on a Jay Superior Court felony warrant in Redkey Wednesday afternoon.
Redkey police officer Jessica Maymi detained Romona Mae Miller, 44, 107 N. Franklin St., Dunkirk, in the parking lot at Will’s IGA, arresting her on a Level 6 felony charge of possession of a narcotic and misdemeanor charges of possession of paraphernalia, driving while suspended and a probation violation.
Police said Miller gave a false name to the officer and after being handcuffed fled across Indiana 67 in the direction of the Redkey Pak-A-Sak convenience store. She was later apprehended by Maymi with assistance from Dunkirk police officer Mike Kreps.
