COLUMBUS, Ohio — After slipping three spots last week, the Fort Recovery baseball team is making its way back toward the top of the polls.
In the Ohio High School Baseball Coaches’ Association poll released this morning, the Indians climbed one spot to No. 3 in Division IV.
Fort Recovery (21-3) received four of the 32 first-place votes, and totaled 236 points.
Hiland received 248 points and remains No. 1, while Toronto stayed at No. 2 with 237 points.
The Indians, who play Midwest Athletic Conference rival Marion Local in the district semifinal at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Coldwater, debuted at No. 1 in the April 16 poll.
The Tribe stood at the top for three weeks before falling to No. 4 on May 11.
Fort Recovery is two wins away from its first district title since 1953.
