Teen crashes
A Dunkirk teenager was injured Thursday in an accident on county road 575 South near county road 550 West in Jefferson Township.
Alexis J. Murrell, 17, 977 Indiana 1, was treated at the scene for a head injury.
Murrell told police she was traveling east at approximately 75 miles per hour at 9:20 a.m. She said she was partly in the westbound lane, and when a vehicle approached she lost control while attempting to move into the eastbound lane.
The vehicle, a 2007 Toyota RAV4, slid about 100 feet on the road before hitting a ditch and coming to rest on its roof.
Damage to the vehicle was estimated between $5,001 and $10,000.

Intersection accident
A pair of trucks collided Thursday about 3:10 p.m. when one of the driver’s failed to see a stop sign at an intersection in Wabash Township.
Benard T. Siefring, 22, Coldwater, Ohio, told Jay County police he was westbound on county road 400 North, approaching its intersection with 700 East in a 2001 Mack semi with trailer when he failed to see the stop sign.
His semi collided with a 2008 Mack semi cab driven by Gary J. Pottkotter, 62, Fort Recovery.
Siefring received a head injury in the accident.
Damages were estimated between $50,000 and $100,000.

Pak-A-Sak crash
A pick-up truck drove through the front glass doors of the Fort Recovery Pak-A-Sak about 1:30 a.m. Sunday, causing extensive damage.
Matthew M. Brockman, 25, Fort Recovery, was cited on two counts of operating a vehicle while impaired, failure to control and leaving the scene of an accident.
Witnesses told police Brockman’s truck had struck a stop sign and had driven through a yard prior to the accident.
